Panquecas de banana (banana pancakes)

Bom dia!

Booooooooommmmm... :)

Rabanadas (French toast)

Very easy to make and always pleasant...but very high on calories, so just eat one or two as a dessert, save the rest for the day after, and anyone who has ever had these can assure that they taste even better the next day.
Ingredients:
Bread
Milk
sugar
cinnamon
eggs
oil for frying
Okay, i wont give you any exact measures because it depends on how much you want to make but i can try to get you there easily, get a loaf of bread and cut thick slices all the way through, then cut them into big rectangles. Mix 2 eggs and 2 glasses of milk, beat well, get 1 cup of sugar in another deep plate and mix it with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon until all sugar becomes brown.
Put 1litre of oil into a deep frying pan and heat it well.
To fry, dip the bread into the egg and milk mixture and into the oil, let them cook until they are golden brown, turn them around to get all sides brown. Get them out and put them in a big bowl with absorbent paper for a while and then roll them in the bowl with cinnamon and sugar.
Do the same to all the bread and enjoy.

Also add more cornstarch if its needed to achieve a good creamy(but not too much) point.
Serve with chinese noodles

Bombons caseiros crocantes

Gooooood evening...to me and you :)

Bom apetite :)

Arroz de açafrão e passas com frango frito e salada de cuscuz (Saffron rice and raisins with fried chicken and couscous salad)

Fried chicken is like a classic, i probably dont even need to tell how its done...
...but i will anyway :D okkk...so, grab a chicken, cut it in small pieces and season it with thyme, sea salt, powder garlic and olive oil. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes (you can go down a few posts or type in the blog's search to find the marinating time chart)
While you wait, bake some couscous following the instructions on the package or just double the couscous used with water, boil it for 8 minutes, turn off the heat and close the pan until the couscous grows. Dice tomatoes, cucumbers depending on how many people are you serving it too...put some sweet corn and chopped mozzarella. Mix it all together and add the couscous. Season it with olive, lemon juice and salt.
Start frying the chicken in a deep pan.
Chop 1 onion and 3 garlic cloves into a pan with 1 tablespoon of olive oil , add 4 cups of water and 2 tablespoons of saffron, let it boil...then add the rice, let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
Easy wasn't it?!
Bon Appetit

Prawn, potato and egg mayo

Nice sunday over here, its quiet, a bit cold...perfect to do a quick meal and hit the bed watching something nice on tv
And that's just what i did...
...made something that my mom used to do to take to the beach.
All i needed was this:

Some fresh cooked prawns i had on the fridge, about 300 gr
4 eggs, 3 to boil and one to make the sauce (mayo)
1 lemon, 2 big potatoes.

Then just get a small bowl, a wooden spoon, refined salt, vinegar, olive oil and mustard.

Chop the potatoes in small cubes
Put them in a pan with water and boil them.
In another pan put three eggs and boil them as well, it should take 15 minutes after the water is boiling to get them done. I'll get a chart for boiling food as well, dont worry
Now, while those are on the stove, get the remaining egg and separate the yolk from the egg white, we are only going to use the yolk.
Put the yolk in the bowl, one teaspoon of good mustard and mix it well, now cut the lemon in half and drop a few drops on the egg mix, mix it well, and start dropping it inside the egg mix in a very small and thin thread.

drop a small quantity and stop to see if your cream as a consistency that when you pass the wooden spoon through it you can see the bottom of the bowl like this
Keep pouring the olive oil until you get the amount that you need, remember that this is a recipe for one to two persons.
Keep an eye on the stove.
When you think you have enough of home made mayonnaise mix, drop the rest of the lemon juice, and season it with salt and vinegar (you can skip the vinegar if you want beacuse lemon is just fine, especially for those who have stomach problems)
Peel the shrimp and dice them
When the eggs are boilled, get them off their shells and cut them in slices
Get a deep plate or bowl and start alternating layers of potato, egg, and prawns
Pouring the mayo on top of all in the end
You can also mix some chopped parsley in
Bon appetite

Fruit pizza (Fruit pizza)

Helllooooooooooo...
back to share ideas with you, and trying to refresh some recipes, changing them to become more pleasant for me and those who share the same taste buds
Check out this lovely dessert, imitating a pizza, pick fruits that you like, slice'em, dice'em and grate them and get to the perfect fruit pizza
I used watermelon as a base
 grapes chopped in half
 very thin cuts of prunes
banana slices
and grated coconut
Cut them in slices just like a pizza and serve chilled

Breakfast in one shape (breakfast roses) - Pequeno-almoço em roseta

Hiiiiii everyone...yessss its sunday
For me sunday is a day to taste good food, healthy, fresh or maybe not that healthy hehehe
well one more reason to hit the "sweating machines" or walk, jog around making the most of all the fresh air and calm day that is sun-day
I had a good all in one breakfast, very easy to do, i used
bacon, eggs, cheese, parsley and salt
I took one those muffin molds with 12 holes and started covering the hole walls with the bacon (you can use turquey ham too if you cant eat pork) then shred, grate or dice some cheese and put them inside as well as the chopped parsley and to finish open a egg on top of all, sprinkle some salt and take them to the oven at 180ºC until the egg whites start baking, you can keep an eye on them to see when the yolks are as you like to eat them. I rather have them well done to avoid any contamination :P
What i really love about it is that they have this cute rose like shape
Enjoy

:)

The first picture is the one with bacon and the second one is turquey ham
